This has been proven by scientists at the University of Iowa who had male subjects shut their girlfriend and their dog in the trunk of an automobile for ten hours. The subject then opened the trunk and the reactions of dog and girlfriend were recorded by observers. Without fail, the dogs reacted positively towards seeing the subject, the girlfriends were not so happy.

∙ 15y agoYes, they are. In fact, dogs are specially adapted to live close to or as a part of human societies in a way that, say, wolves are not. For instance, dogs can easily read human emotions and understand a lot of human language. They also readily accept humans as "pack" members and "pack" leaders, and develop close emotional bonds with their human caregivers. Dogs are also adapted to eat food in a human context: not just meat, but most scraps that humans would historically have discarded--dogs can and do eat. Dogs and humans are also well adapted to each other for hunting and tracking, since humans have much superior vision, intelligence, and reasoning, but dogs have much superior hearing and sense of smell.

∙ 13y agoDog's are like a mans bestfriend! I have four and they are like family! I have had dog's die and get hurt and it always breaks my heart! Dog's can fill the emptyness that you have inside! And dogs are also like children! You have to get on to them from time to time, but they are wonderful! :):):):):)
Dogs are great! they're great listeners and you can tell them all your truobles, and they'll always listen!
