There are two kinds of Spiders that are venomous: the "corner" spider (which can be found indoors) and the "wheat" spider which is in wheat fields. They can be fatal if not treated, but it is rare to have an encounter with them.

There is also a wildcat species called "Puma" but it is *VERY VERY* seldom seen and usually runs away from humans.

I am Chilean and I have never heard anyone dying from the spiders or the Puma.

Also, if trekking or sleeping outdoors, you should be careful of rats, because they can carry the HANTA virus. This can be prevented by keeping the food away from the tent, or hanging from a tree (i.e. not on the ground).

Hope I helped!
