Any African animal you can think of or Asian
I am quite certain that Asian elephants are mammals just like the African forest elephants and African bush elephants. It just makes more sense that all of the types of elephants would be mammals like one another. And from pictures that have been seen asian elephants were born without being in an egg.
No! Elephants can be found in the wild in Africa and Asian countries of India and Sri Lanka. Also in an island called Borneo. Maybe you can find elephants in Brazil, or any other country if you go to a circus (you know... that place with clowns), some of them have presentations with elephants, but it doesn't mean that there are elephants in these countries Yes. The island of Marajo, off the coast of Brazil, contains a population of introduced well-established wild elephants.
Asian elephants special markings are the big ears which is more like their special facial feature.
Once numbering in the millions, the African elephant population has dwindled to between 470,000 and 690,000 individuals according to a March 2007 estimate. The world population of Asian elephants -- also called Indian Elephants -- is estimated to be around 60,000. There are an estimated 500,000 African and 40,000 Indian elephants alive, including about 2000 total in zoo populations. A reduction in the illegal ivory trade would improve their chances of survival, as many are illegally killed by poachers each year. Habitat loss is another major threat in India and other Asian elephant countries. African- about 600,000 Asian- about 80,000
it has been made illegal to kill the elephants but some people still do it any way.

Elephants are probably the largest living mammals on earth. They don't have any natural predators that can attack a full grown elephant. However, adolescent or young asian elephants can fall prey to adult Lions or Tigers. This can only happen if the youngster strays away from the herd.

Adult elephants are large, and therefore they need no protection. Their size prevents any animal attacking them. When an elephant is weak, sick, or a child and is in danger of being attacked because of their vunerability, the elephant will be in the middle of the parade(or herd) of elephants. Then any animal will not be able to get to the vunerable elephant.
