no they are not. i bought turtle beach head phones for my xbox.i am a doctor of technology.i know what im doing.i could not hear a single footstep.i could not hear anything but the voices.so i took them back to a place where they only sale headsets headphones and others music devices.bought a regular headset for my xbox.it was bose.they work best for my xbox and ps3.so all people get bose.there better than anything.

No, I have never hear of the frog mouth turtle, and me not knowing a turtle species is very very rare. I heard that one was in the Yogi bear movie so it is defiantly not real or had ever been real. the turtle beach xlc is the cheapest one althought it is cheaply made and is not worth getting, i would recommend getting the turtle beach x11, it is the next step up at $60 and is alot better quality, the sound, the mic and the everything else is nicer, because on the xlc you cant hear your friends in chat very well and it does not have a volume switch, and plus the x11 will last longer.
