A puppy's first bath should be given when it is at least 2 months old -- and only if completely necessary. If a sponge bath would suffice, then do that instead. It is very important that you keep the puppy warm so use lukewarm water and mild baby shampoo for the bath. Afterwards, make sure that you dry him off completely. and remember that if you bath it to early it could become very ill, but dont worry thankyou for your consern bye from xxmolxx10
it depends on when you get your dog if you get it in winter wait til spring and well you just hav to wait a couple of months but on nintendogs bath it wen ever you want its best to do it after you name it!

I would recommend giving your puppy a bath when its about 5-6 months old unless it imeditally needs one,id recomend filling the bath to about a inch above its paws and washing him or her with a soft cloth or sponge with dog shampoo (one with soap that's easy on the eyes just in case would be best) and rinsing him with the shower head. to make him or her calm you should give it treats or say "good boy/girl!" i hope this helps!
Your puppy will be safer if you wait until it is ten weeks before giving a tub bath, especially if is a small breed. Your puppy won't have a well developed immune system until it is 12 weeks, so the closer to that age, the better. You can give it a sweet- smelling safe bath with men's shaving cream. The cheapest ones are the best, as they don't have so much oil and additives. I use Colgate. Lemon or mint is fine. Just rub the puppy down with the foam, and dry with a towel or washcloth. This also makes a nice touch-up bath, or cold-weather bath between groomings for older dogs.
You need to wait until the mom is not cleaning them anymore, then when you do bathe keep the puppy very warm and inside until he/she is dry.
not until it needs it... probably around 4 or 5 months.
your pupping can have its first bath at 4 to 5 months if it really needs one
but if your puppy is a clean one, first bath could be taken at 5 to 6 months

No, I'm pretty sure it isn't.
You can wash a puppy at any age depending on how you do it. Newborn puppies can be washed gently with a warm washcloth, and you can use most dog shampoos once puppies are at least 12 weeks old.
No,if a 3 week old puppy needs a bath, please call your vet and ask if you can use a dry shampoo.
i wouldn't give it a bath until at least a year and a half and make sure its warm not hot or not cold. another writer--I disagree, I don't think you have to wait until it is a year and a half. You can bathe them when they are a few weeks old. On the other hand, dogs don't need a bath every day like people. You don't need to bathe your puppy unless he gets dirty. I do agree that the water should be warm, not hot or cold, and also when you dry him a human hair drier on the hot setting is too hot for your dog. I like to bathe mine in hot weather, towel dry them and then let them dry themselves in the sun.
when the puppy is six months old because the body is adapting to water
I think when you get a dog at first you should let it get use to your enviroment. At 6 months I think it's pretty grown. I would probrably give my puppy a bath.

you can give a 10 week old puppy a bath BUT you have to lift their head above the water And also use a special mild puppy soap, and make sure the puppy is dried and kept warm after the bath. Human hair driers are a bad idea, they can be too hot for a dog.

Of course. Whether it should or not is a different question.

My bichon frise's mother had my dog at 2 years old, so bichon frise's can have puppies at 2 years old :-)
