∙ 15y agoNo, won't happen. Different species, they won't interbreed. However, cats and dogs kept as pets tends not to be that fussy about who they lavish their parenting skills on, so a cat that has just had kittens might well "adopt" a puppy if required.

∙ 13y agoJust like a human birth she pushes them out-and then unlike a human birth she eats the sacs they were in and cleans them up-since kittens come in litters they come out one at a time to give mommy time to clean them up.
If the cat is an inexperienced mother...say like a feral cat who you took in and the mother is stressed do NOT leave her alone...Because after they were all born when we left for two minutes to get towels for her because hers were getting too soaked with the blood and she was sitting in a 2 foot long open box with an opening she sat on her kittens and killed them. So just check on your cat as often as possible to help her through her delivery it best that way.
