Answerit depends on the size and breed of dog, but usually large breeds take about six months to come into another heat cycle.
A dog's heat cycle will last it's course whether the dog is bred or not. It is possible for a dog to be impregnated by more than one dog at the same time, resulting in mix breed puppies. So, no, it will not stop just because the dog is pregnant.
Rottweilers have two seasons (or heat cycles) a year, but you should never attempt to breed from the same dog more than once in a year, and never more than two or three times in its lifetime.

It all depends on the dog and sometimes breed, usually every 6 months to one year, they go into a heat cycle. After the birth of puppies, some bitches go into a small cycle and they should NOT be breed during this cycle, it is a natural cleansing process. Me personally I am against breeding animals since there are so many in the world who get euthanized every day. My motto concerning animals is "Don't Breed the Bred" witch simply means once the dog has been bred once you shouldn't breed the dog again. But if you still wanna breed your dog or your just curious i say don't breed it more than 2 times a year give the poor dog a break!!! But if all you care about is making money go ahead and breed the dog as much as you want. But please remember my motto concerning animals "Don't Breed the Bred!"
It depends on the breed it is, some breeds are adapted better to the heat than others, but as far as I know, your dog will eat and drink as long as it is not extremely hot. It will just keep its mouth open longer and will pant more, as this is the way dogs sweat.
Every dog breed has a different intelligence level.
