A guinea pig can be neutered like other small rodents (even mice can be fixed). Males become sexually mature at two months, and females mature at 2-3 months. Neutering a male may help with housetraining him because he may be less hormonally inclined to mark territory with feces and urine. It is important to note, however, that neutering does little to change aggressiveness of the male guinea pig. Neutering two bulls living together will not improve relations between them, unlike many larger animals.
