Assuming that the fish tank is no longer filled with water, and assuming that the lid has been removed or ventilation is otherwise assured, there is no reason why a guinea pig shouldn't be able to live in a disused fish tank.
Of course, the fish tank must have a suitable size for a Guinea Pig. Most domestic fish tanks will be too small.
Given size and ventilation constrains, the bottom line is that a fish tank most certainly is not a suitable replacement for a regular Guinea Pig cage.
You should also note that the floor of a fish tank is usually made of a smooth material. For the fish tank, it is important that the material is water proof, and it is beneficial that it is smooth for easy cleaning. However, a Guinea Pig needs to wear out its toenails. You can take it to the vet regularly to have its toenails clipped, and you can learn to do it yourself. This will be essential for the Guinea Pig's health. Alternatively, you might be able to coat the smooth floor with lots of rough stones and coarse sand paper for the Guinea Pig to climb over. These help with the natural manicure.
Guinea pigs live 3-8 years, but an average life span for healthy guinea pigs is about 5-6 years. A lucky guinea pig can sometimes live up to 10 years! So, a 5 year old guinea pig is getting up there in years, but if properly cared for, can live for a long awhile yet.
I would not recommend you to heal a guinea pig at home. You should bring your guinea pig to a local animal hospital. Healing a guinea pig alone can cause germs going into the guinea pig. That can be harmful for your pet.
It is spelled "guinea pig". You got it right! :)
a guinea pigs cousin would also be a guinea pig.
The oldest guinea pig known was 14 years old, 10.5 months and was named Snowball. Guinea Pigs live for an average of 4-8 years. According to the Guinness Book of Records (1997) the longest living Guinea Pig survived for 15 years.
Something that makes a great home for a guinea pig is a 10 gallon fish tank. They are relatively cheap at the pet shops and you can get a screened lid for the top. Also, they are very easy to clean, can be washed with soap and water. A 10 gallon fish tank is plenty of room for a guinea pig. NO NO NO and NO guinea pigs can NOT live in an aquarium there is NO air circulation and many many many guinea pigs become blind from being kept in an aquarium. Not joking there must be at LEAST 30 guinea pigs at the shelter that are blind from being kept in a fish tank. Get a c&c cage the MINIMUM cage space for a guinea pig is 7.5 feet of cage!
a guinea pig.
no
NO! Guinea Pigs should never be in real glass like that! They need to have bars over it or else they could escape
Only the guinea pig she mated with but be sure to separate them after birth
it depends what type of guinea pig you have
Most likely, yes.
not really , if you mean separated than seerated then no again as the crayfish may scare the pig it would be advisable not to as the crayfish could also get its claws through bars and snap at the pig , the pig might even bite it! also crayfish can only live out of water for a few months so if i was you i'd buy a fish tank and fill it with water and put the crayfish in there! PLEASE DO NOT PUT THEM TOGETHER!
