A horse does not sit. While it is possible for a horse to sit, it is not a natural position they assume. Horses that are injured or weak may also go down on their legs or lay down, but most do not.

∙ 12y agoHorses are not built to sit down like humans do. They can lie down on the ground in a special position called "sternal recumbency" where they rest with their legs folded underneath their body, but they do not typically fully sit as humans do.

∙ 14y agoto help a horse learn to sit is very close to teaching them to bow..instead of using your lead rope and hobble on a front leg....use a hind leg.....go through all the steps..take your time and make sure your horse can bow FIRST on command before asking them to sit.......

∙ 16y agoYes, but it's not a natural behavior and has to be taught.

∙ 13y agoFirst they need to know to lay down. Once you get them laying down, it is a matter of letting them get up halfway, so that only their front end is off the ground, and they are sitting.

I'm not entirely sure what the meaning of your question is, but if you mean getting on and off a horse, that's called mounting and dismounting. If you mean when you stand up and sit down when trotting, that's called rising trot. I can't think what else you mean.
This is called lying down, cattle do not sit down as their bodies are not built to sit. They lie down as they are resting, cattle will only chew their cud when they are relaxed. They will also digest standing up as well.
When sitting on a horse's back, you would be on the dorsal aspect of the horse. This is the upper side of the horse, which is also known as the back or top side.
They are marking their territory before they lay down.
Your horse can't stand your weight, so he sits down while u ride
Some horses do sit. It is not impossible for a horse to do this.
In later updates, you sit on a horse like you sit on a pig if you mean to say " how to RIDE " it then I have no idea how to do that but to sit on a horse, right click on it with a saddle and right click it
Well sit back heels down or hold on with one hand on the horn and the other with the reins....

a horse does sit , but it doesn't sit so often. It only sits when its so tired or giving birth to a baby .
Never jump on or thud when you sit down. It will hurt their back!
yes. as long as she is responsible enough i think its fine. but you need to sit down with her and tell her the responsibilities of her if she gets a horse.
When your horse is trotting, you stand up when their outside front leg goes forward, and sit down when it goes back.
The complete subject in "Sit down" is "You."
at the front
