It depends on the puppy and level of housebreaking has been achieved. A puppy or adult dog can wreak havoc in a very short period of time without supervision, so I recommend utilizing crate training when you need to leave the pup unsupervised.
YES because unlike big dogs puppies are more laid back, and you should always trust your dog, well not always. But I think it would be perfectly fine to leave your dog home .....DONT FORGET TO LEAVE THEM A BOWL OF FOOD AND WATER so they can eat and drink while your gone and ALWAYS LOVE YOUR PUPPY!!!!
You shouldn't leave a puppy alone in a house for more than an hour. The puppy will most likely defecate or urinate on any object in the house, and will most likely find something to chew on that shouldn't be chewed on in the house if left for longer than one hour.
I wouldn't leave a puppy that long. They are still a baby.
If your puppy is not breathing after birth then you must clear it's nose and swing it gently. Left, right, left, right...

You do realise that there are only twenty-four hours in a day, right? Generally, a dog shouldn't be left alone for more than four hours. My Labrador Retriever is seven months old and is left alone for four hours in the morning, then I will come home at lunchtime for an hour, then he will be left alone for another four hours before I finish work.
After spending all day alone in the house the puppy craved human affection
My dog has monophobia when she is left alone in the house.

It is smart to take your puppy on vacation if it does not like being alone or with other people, like dog sitters, and it is smart if you are going to be away from your house for more than a couple days.

NO! They will tear your house apart if left alone and they MUST be taken out a lot.
The best way to introduce a new puppy to an older house cat is to hold the cat while the puppy checks it out.
