i truly don't believe so

Correction: From my research i believe they can. This is because rabbits have two ducts leading to their ovaries. They can be pregnant with one litter in one duct and a few days or a couple weeks later get pregnant with another litter in the other duct.

Improved: I've also heard that despite that the above correction is correct, the babies do not always make it. I'm not too sure why this happens, but I think it's because mal-nutrition, or some sort of deficiency or something. I think this only happens when they doe kindles tpo both litters in under a few days apart.

How many rabbits are born in one litter?

A female rabbit can give up to 8-10 babies at once.

My 6 month old rabbit has recently forgot how to use his litter box what up with that?

Puberty. When a male rabbit reaches 6 months and is not neutered his hormones will be at their peak. The reason a rabbit will then start marking with urine is territorial. Neutering should help to fix this problem. If he has learned to use a litter box successfully before once the hormones have gone he will revert back to this normally.

Can a pregnant female rabbit be mean to a male rabbit?

Yes, she will. However... Male and Female rabbits should never be allowed to stay together when the female is pregnant. It is dangerous for both of them. The health of the doe is put at risk when she is kept with the male at this time, plus their is the added danger of injury to both through fighting. Once the babies are born the male will have to kept away from her as well. One reason is the male will be able to impregnate the female as soon as she has given birth, he may also kill the babies.

Do rabbits have a lot of babies?

No, but she will have them very close together. -------------------------------------------------------- I am a zoologist of 15yrs. The first yr was spent on the study of rodents. e.g. their behaviour growth and breeding pattens. We found the following statement on the 3rd doe which was quite small and obviously would not of been able to cope with a large litter all at once. If the doe feels that there is not enough food for her or her brood or the litter will be too large for her to look after and protect all at once. She will melt half the litter into her insides and suspend their growth while the rest of the litter will grow normally and be delivered. When the doe feels that there is more food and the first half of her litter is doing well, she will allow the rest of the litter to continue to grow and give birth naturally. However this is not the case for every doe's.

Litter training rabbits?

If your looking to litter train a rabbit, start by looking at where your rabbit is going to the toilet mainly. Put a litter tray in that place. If your rabbit it going to the toilet in a place you do not want it to, put vinegar there, and this should stop your rabbit messing where you dont want it to. If your rabbit still insists on not using it's litter tray, buy some cat litter and put it into the litter tray, this encourages the rabbit to wee there, as soon as your rabbit is weeing in it's litter tray, take away the cat litter. If your rabbit changes back to a place where you dont want it to wee, put the cat litter back. Keep doing this until your rabbit gets the hang of it!

Can rabbits have a miscarriage?

It could have been a couple of things. She could of had a false pregnancy. Rabbits will sometimes think they are pregnant. My rabbit did this once even though she has never been around a male. She could of absorbed her litter. When rabbits are under stress they will absorb their litters in to their body. Did you breed the rabbit on purpose? If you are then you should stop. You obviously don't know what you are doing since you don't even know if a rabbit can have a miscarriage.

Should you keep a male rabbit in with the female when she has babies?

No, it'll be possible for the female rabbit to become pregnant again 12 hours after giving birth to her litter. Unless you want even more rabbits a month later... bad idea.

If your hamster is pregnant should you keep the father with them?

No. The father will eat the babies and could impregnate her again once she has her litter. Back-to-back pregnancies cause stress and can kill a mother and her unborn litter or she may eat her current litter due to stress.

Can a female dog have more than one litter?

Any pet store, really. It depends on the timing though. You can always leave your number and have them call you once they get in a new litter of albino bunnies.

How long after the rabbit has bunnies can she have more?

Hello Female rabbits can be ready to breed almost immediately after a litter. However, this is not recommended and is highly cruel to the rabbit. If you are a responsible pet owner and care about your animal then it is safer to breed them every 6 months or even let them have only 1 litter a year, giving her a rest and time to recover and nurse her kits. Excessive breeding only causes a strain on your rabbit and possible early death. Also try to avoid times of the year when it is very hot or very cold as it is not a good idea to let her have her babies at these times of year.

How do you train bunnies to pee and poop in their litter box?

The simple answer to this is, it is more a case of your bunny training you! Bunnies are naturally very clean animals. They like to always use the same 'latrine' area. This works greatly to our advantage when training them. Simply put newspaper down and see where they like to go. Once they have picked a corner put down the litter tray! Encourage them to use it by putting some hay in there along with the wood shavings/paper pulp litter. Bunnies like to nibble while they pee. If the litter tray is not where You want it to be... you will gradually need to move it to a more suitable place. Let the bunny get used to it first, after a couple of weeks you can start the moving process. Always move it when the bunny has used it though, so they can smell that this is the same litter tray! For more help, see the related link! ~also it helps to try "baiting" the litter box... take some poo from where it goes and move it into the litter box this will act as the "bait" then make sure to clean the old area well before you expect them to use the litter box... this worked wonders for me when i trained my rabbit remember rabbits are twice as easy to train as a cat~
