BEES!!! Bees help plants grow by using pollination. In fact bees help us all survive. How? Well... Bees pollinate the plants (don't forget vegetables and fruits are plants too) and some of these plants we then eat. This is why we have to try and not let the bees get extinct. OK... Sorry... Basically those who camouflaged the best were less likely to be seen and therefore eaten. Being well camouflaged in an environment full of trees and plants means starting to look like plant parts. So they had a higher chance of living to an age when they would pass on the genes which gave them those traits. The cycle repeats which every generation, until you get a bug that is almost indistinguishable from a plant part at first sight, and very well camouflaged.
