A little bit of sunlight every week is good for a Betta. Do NOT leave your Betta in the sun! It will heat up the tank and could kill him. It will also bleach his coat and he will look sickly for the next few days.
Yes they can, and a person can live in an 8'x8' cell. It's about the same thing, except the fish didn't do anything to deserve such punishment.
Bettas, like most other fish, like to swim around. A single betta needs a 5-10 gallon tank with a heater and filter for optimum health. Plants and caves make it more interesting for him and a couple of rasboras might work, depending on his aggressive tendencies. They can't be kept with other bettas, but do appreciate tank mates if they have room. The red ones tend to be more aggressive. If he is aggressive, he will not do well with other fish unless he's in at least a 30 gallon tank. People tend to think they don't live long, but if they have enough room, clean water, and consistent temperature, they will be much less stressed and can live for a lot longer than expected.
They can live in 2 gallons, but you can live in a bathroom if someone feeds you. It would probably shorten your life and certainly make it less healthy.
Most fish can live for a few months maybe, at the most in too small a space. That is nothing compared to 5-7 years (how long bettas usually live). A 5 gal tank with some ghost shrimp, a heater, filter and real plants would give a betta the best life ever.
yes :)
Maybe, but seeing as how there's so little room, the betta might fight with the crab, or worse! The crab might try to eat your betta! Be careful!
Golf fish, and most types of gold fish, not just the basic ones. small tiny fish, only fresh water! also bear in mind the tank has to be a decent size in comparision the fish and the amount of fish.
The life cycle of a betta Fish goes like this: *They hatch *They live *They die
Goldfish dont have to have a filter but they need water conditioner like all fish.Fish can survive without a filter but they are always good to have because you dont have to clean it out as often
Honestly i would say the betta is the easiset fresh fish to raise. Betta do not need a filter system to live unlike other fresh fish. Betta only eat three to four pellets a day and that's a lot of money save. (*Another word for 'betta fish' is Siamese fighting fish. they prefer 65F temp. water, and is as easy to care for to put in a bowl! They're quite suitable for children, and I've found this great website- 'www.betafish.com' Also, they are best surviving alone- why do you think they are called fighting fish? indeed they do fight! Don't leave soap residue around because it may cause death. Keep your tank or bowl covered. That's about it! Good luck! laura_wiki cheers!*) Please do not delete! spent ages finding info!
None. The 1 gallon bowl is already too small for the betta by itself.
yes but only a betta fish and moutain minnows can live in a bowl :) oh and they cant live together
$5.00 at petsmart i think but they can live in a bowl
Very few species can, such as the Betta.
Sorry, type in: how do betta fish live?
Betta Fish can live in any given environment..i currently am keeping mine in my toilet bowl. I sometimes have a hard time remembering not to flush it down. Just talk to him and figure out what he/she prefers. If you have any concerns or questions you can call my local fish whisperer..@ 2089878888
A betta fish can live in water set at room temperature, but anything below 68 will start to become fatal.
Maybe, but seeing as how there's so little room, the betta might fight with the crab, or worse! The crab might try to eat your betta! Be careful!
well you first need at least a one gallon fish bowl and fish gravel and plants and stuff for them to hide in. fish food, and give them every once in a wile betta fish treats for fat.
Although it may well be possible to keep one for a short time (1"of fish NEEDS 1 gal of water)I believe it is cruel to keep any fish in a 'fish bowl'. Even a Betta.
Yes they would be fine (if they are plants that are ment to live underwater) for the betta splenden aka Siamese fighter fish (assuming that is the betta you are refering to) as it is a tropical fish
sure!i bet lots of peeps there have betta fish!
