Water bugs mostly eat algae. Water bugs can actually swim upside down and also fly. If your pool has a bit algae on the bottom you might consider buying Water bugs to eat the algae and clean it. I have an in ground pool and all the time over the winter and fall the water bugs just come and stay and eat the algae.
And now just a friendly piece of advice: Be cautious to NOT hold them with bare hands. They will easily jump up fall and get injured or jump up and fly away. Also They have 2 pinchers in the front. I've went through that experience of getting pinched by a water bug and TRUST me its not a good feeling!
these are boatmen bugs and they bite and sting they are i think harmless and to get them out you put dishsoap or put 10 times the level of chorline in the pool that u have now this should get rid of it other wise you just have to catch em and and kill em that's wat i do byebye

Yes, for a short time, like about a minute.
To stop bugs from comming into your pool, you need to get a cover or get a net and before you swim clean off all the ded bugs on top.
They can both fly and swim. thy fly into your pool from outside.
they're are called water boatmen and are harmless but fun to watch
Well it's one way they catch their food. They eat small bugs and insects that live under water. If they can't swim they can't catch it.
Ladybugs are insects, and like most, do not like to swim in water.
The risk of animals that can't swim could drown. eg Bugs,
Aquatic or semi-aquatic? I'm pretty sure most mammals can swim, but I wouldn't say that most mammals are aquatic. In fact, I think most animals can swim (excluding a few bugs, etc.)
