You shouldn't give any kind of frosting to your rabbit.

Rabbits have a very special digestive system and there are a lot of foods they can't eat.

Talk to your experienced rabbit vet about a healthy diet for your bunny. It's a good idea to bring your rabbit to the vet for a check-up every year -- and, of course, any time your rabbit is sick!

Rabbits can't eat:

  • Meat products, animal fats
  • Dairy, including milk, yogurt, ice cream
  • Processed sugar, including candy, chocolate, frosting
  • Processed grains, including bread, crackers, cake, cereal
  • Nuts and seeds

Rabbits can eat:

  • Grass (hay should be the mainstay of their diet)
  • Fresh vegetables and fruit (but too much will make them sick)
  • High quality commercial rabbit food (pellets) -- these include some grains, as that's as much grains as they can have; if your rabbit on a pellet-free diet, then they can sometimes have hulled grain kernels as a treat (e.g. oat groats, wheat berries)
