Cats can't "catch" AIDS from a human being.

Humans can suffer from HIV, or Human Immunodeficiency Virus but a cat can only suffer from the feline version, which is called Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (or FIV).

How sad!
Believe it or not, cats can contract FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) which is a feline version of the AIDS virus. FIV is part of the same family of viruses as the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Just like the human variety, FIV attacks the cat's immune system; weakening it and leaving the cat prone to a variety of illnesses and infections.

FIV is most often found in blood, saliva and other fluids. The most common means of transmission is through bite wounds. FIV, like HIV, can also be transmitted via sexual activity, and the infected mother can pass it onto her kittens.

While there is no cure, a cat can live many years in relative comfort with the right care and proper treatments.

Why are cats pupils diamond shaped?

Cats have slit-shaped pupils that can dilate to a circular shape in low light conditions to help them see better in the dark. This unique pupil shape aids in regulating the amount of light that enters the eye, allowing cats to focus on objects at various distances and maintain better depth perception during hunting.

Can cats spread chlamydia?

If the cat is your pet then very little. People are too 'germ crazy.' Cats are very good at grooming and if shots are kept up to date then the only thing you may get from your cat is allergies. One should always wash their hands or use Aloe/bacterial gel (easy on the hands) after handling a cat if they have been outside. Also your cats paws are in their own litter box and could pick up worms or bacteria so washing your hands is a must. If it's a neighbors cat I did pick up ring worm once when a child from my neighbor's cat. I only got one spot on the underside of my wrist and the doctor gave my mother medication for it. If they are feral cats (wild cats) then they can have all sorts of diseases and even possibly have rabies. Never corner or approach a wild cat. There are a number of disease that cats can get from other cats. Here is a list of the most common: * Upper respiratory infections * Rabies * Feline Leukemia * Feline Panleukemia * Feline immunodeficiency virus * Feline infectious peritonitis To find out more, check out the link in the related links section.

Can a human give a dog AIDS?

No. HIV can not be spread to, from, or by cats, dogs, birds, or other pets. Many viruses cause diseases that are like AIDS, such as feline leukemia virus, or FeLV, in cats. These viruses cause illness only in a certain animal and cannot infect other animals or humans. For example, FeLV infects only cats. It does not infect humans or dogs.

Do bears get AIDS?

To my knowledge there are only a few species that develop AIDS. HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is the cause of AIDS in humans. HIV is not able to live in any other animal. Cats and monkeys have a different virus that infects them. We are not able to acquire these viruses because they are species specific. Bears are not a known to develop AIDS.

Can Cat aids contagious to dogs?

Answer:Currently there is no proof that humans can be infected with FeLV, but those with suppressed immune systems should refrain from contact with infected cats. This includes those on AIDS therapy, pregnant women, infants, and the elderly.Answer:If FeLV had ever been detected in human blood, it would be international news. It is a fiction that humans can contract it, much less have major health complication and die from it. THere are "germaphobes" who prefer that all FeLV+ be euthanized... a tragedy since these cats can live for years.

Yes, they can. Cats are predators and have forward-facing eyes, thus have very good depth-perception which aids in hunting, climbing and other activities. The only area they cannot see is right under their nose.
