They can and do eat it on a regular basis.
Not particularly - whatever caused them to throw up is probably still in the vomit, so eating it (again) will likely cause them to through it up (again).
They eat their own vomit.
Dogs may eat their vomit as a natural instinct to keep their den clean and prevent attracting predators. It could also be a way to reingest food for better digestion. However, if a dog is frequently vomiting and eating it, it could indicate an underlying health issue and should be evaluated by a veterinarian.
If you dog is eating its own faeces you should get that checked out by a vet right away.
No, penguins do not eat vomit. Penguins mainly feed on fish, squid, and krill that they catch while swimming in the ocean. Vomiting is not a natural behavior for penguins and they do not consume vomit from other animals.

poo, dunno why but i guess cos it doesnt look as bad?????? It depends. They like to roll in and sometimes eat cow and horse patties, but my dogs will eat my cats' vomit too. I do not think they like boogers.
From long experience, letting dogs eat grass and plants can cause acidic vomit. I would not advise it. Keep dogs away if possible.
beacause they are dumb and mostly live off instinct
All dogs vomit
Dogs are not stupid and they seem to sense what is good for them and what isn't. Generally dogs will only eat grass, but, when in the puppy stage or even a few adult dogs can eat the odd plant. Yes there are some plants out there that can be poisonous to dogs, but there are too many to name. It is of great interest that should eat something that disagrees with them they will either (on their own) vomit it up or eat grass to make themselves vomit it up. I've never heard a dog poisoning themselves on a plant in my life span.
youre own vomit, it is important to reabsorb any nutrients you may have lost through the vomit.
