duck does not lay eggs in water
I have 2 muscovy girls and 2 khaki Campbell drakes and once my daughter scared my muscovies into our pond. When I stepped in to correct my daughter's behaviour I discovered an egg in the pond! It had only a semi formed shell and I think it was SCARED out of her and not a natural occurance, and it has never happened again.
One of my Indian Runners, I think, laid in the pond this morning so now I am wondering if this is why I think they are not laying, how many more are there?

Ducks in the wild build nests along the water, in cattails, high grass or even under a tree nearby. I have never observed one nest in water...but the nesting season is approaching, you never know!
Ducks are generally divided into two classes, dabbling ducks and diving ducks. Most of the most common ducks, especially inland, are dabbling ducks. Like Mallards, Pintales, Wigeons, and Teals. Some diving ducks are Scoters, Eiders, Goldeneyes, and Scaups. Most of these swim underwater with there feet, but some also utilize their wings. There are also many duck-like birds. These include Grebes, Loons, Mergansers and Alcids.
Well...yes and no! Imagine yourself at the pool, underwater. You CAN talk underwater, it just sounds like "bubble bubble blop bubble blip". The words you say are not understandable! It's the same with ducks (come to think of it, its the same with ALL animals!) If they quack underwater they still make a sound, it's just not understandable to other ducks (that we know of)!
ducks can fart, all humans or animals can fart duuuuu
They can Live on land and water but they cant breath under water so they cant sleep under water
They dive under the surface - to feed on pond weed and other organisms.

They hold their breath.
Ducks will sometimes quack at night but usually it is only to tell you that they need something or that something is wrong.
If the answer is supposed to be that a duck's quack cannot echo, that is entirely wrong.Duck quacks do echo.It is a scientific myth that a duck's quack does not echo. Research has shown that a duck's quack does echo, but it is hard to hear because it is difficult to distinguish the quack from the echo. There are several reasons why it is difficult to hear the echo:Echoes are produced after loud noises. Ducks quack very softly, so the reflected sound is difficult to hear.A reflecting surface is needed to hear an echo. Ducks tend not to live near reflecting surfaces such as cliff faces or buildings. An echo could be heard more readily if the duck quacked whilst flying past such as surface.
because ducks are cool!!!!! and because their body makes a kinda 2 shape if you think about it?? DUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! :P:P:P:P:P

Five little ducks went swimming one day, Over the hills and far away, Mother Duck said, "Quack, Quack, Quack" But only four little ducks came back. The verses repeat with a diminishing number of ducks until they are all gone and then after the quack, quack, quack, they all come swimming back.
Yes they can. They just go quack, quack! I think this means QUACK.
