We have a cat and a hamster in the same house. The cat was very interested in it when it first arrived, but after about 3 months just leaves it alone. Of course, we never leave the hamster loose when the cat is in proximity, just in case. We also had a snake at one time and the cat never lost interest in it right up until the day we sold the snake.

if your cat is still playful and hunts, it would be a little risky but ive done it before

Do hamster smells bother dogs?

I am sure that the hamster smell wouldn't worry dogs because they would have found the source and taken care of it (eaten it!) I don't think a hamster and a dog would be able to live together happily. Those kind of pets just don't go well together.
