NO. They should eat the food that is made for rabbits because it has the proper nutrients. Also I do not know if the dog food might make them sick or poison them.
not really they CAN eat it it just doesnt have the right nutrients.
Rabbits should not eat dog food, as it does not provide the essential nutrients they need to stay healthy. Rabbit diets should consist mainly of hay, fresh vegetables, and a small amount of pellets specifically formulated for rabbits. It's important to feed rabbits a diet that is appropriate for their digestive system to avoid any health issues.
no rabbits eat carrots
Yes, dog food is bad for rabbits as these foods are designed for carnivores, not for herbivores. Keep all dog and cat foods out of the reach of your rabbit. See the related links for more details.
Than, you scold you Dog, make sure your rabbit was healthy, to be sure your dog does not get disises-yucky. Wash you Dog, REALLY good! And, get a new bunny, this time, keep them far apart! My Dog would probably nurse your rabbit, I am getting one soon. My Dog thinks that my Guina Pigs are her babies. If any of the three sceak, she is there in a few seconds! I am getting a bunny soon, I think she will do the same with her...I have one silly dog! (Shhh!! Don't tell her they are not her babies!) The Pet Store Owner thought I should not keep them with the dog, but, I was getting them FOR the Dog, Silly Pet Store Owner!! (Don't tell Shady they ant' her puppies-She would be devisteted!!)
Most rabbits dig for food, but others sometimes get given it. They either eat fruit and vegetables from someone's garden, find their food on the ground (fruit dropping from trees), eat grass, or find fields which are growing (corn, wheat, etc.).Normally they eat grass, but mostly vegetation.Wild rabbits will eat any type of edible plants, and will also eat twigs and bark.Wild rabbits get their food by foraging and grazing. Wild European Rabbits eat mostly grasses and leaves. Other species have slightly different diets, but all rabbits are herbivores and eat plants only.Pet rabbits are given their food. They eat mostly hay, with some pellets and leafy green vegetables.Fruit is not a big part of any rabbit's diet. Too much fruit can quickly make a rabbit very sick (even deathly ill: GI stasis).
any meat usually, but obviously the domestic ones eat youknow dog food and rabbits...
My dog just ate a dead rabbit in the yard! I don't know if he caught it or if it was just there. What should I do?
Abesolutely not. Rabbits are herbivores and therefor should only eat vegetables. Cat food has a high meat content and is not safe for rabbits to eat. ++++ It must not be put out for hedgehogs either, as if it contains fish, it will poison them.
