You can contact a Wildlife Rehabilitator in your local area to get information on how to transport it. Wildlife Rehabilitators take in wild animals that are injured or sick to get them back to health and release them into the wild, and even though this raccoon doesn't sound injured or sick they would definitely know where to take the raccoon.
