That may not be a good idea; the dog's stomach might not take it well and the dog might get sick.

If care is taken with the dosage it can be given safely. There have been studies that suggest that in some cases it is more effective than pet medicines

generally, the dosage is 1/4 tablet for each 20 lb. it can also be taken in liquid form, but wrapping the tablet piece in a small piece of cheese..etc is easier.

although most resources say this is safe, the company producing pepto does not recommend it (although i saw it recommended in a pharmacists database, when i worked as a technician)...

this should be used for only a day or 2. if the condition does not improve, you should see your vet...

to be completely safe, discuss this medication (and kaopectate) with your vet before your animal gets sick.. just to make sure you will be administering the correct dosage and medication...

for upset stomachs, make some rice with a little extra water. the finished wet rice is great for their upset stomachs, and safer than medication.....

Never give a dog any human drug or medicine unless a vet specifically tells you to. Peptobismol contains ingredients that are like Tylenol or aspirin and could actually kill your dog.
