i have my pet duck inside at night, but during the day time he goes outside to play and frollick in his pool. he is inside of a big gigantic rubbermaid tub, but most people put diapers on their ducks and let them run around the house. a duck is just like a dog and will be very good company.
A duck may be good company but they are nothing like a dog and should not be treated like one. Anything covering a birds' 'vent', like a diaper can cause sepsis - an infection that spreads rapidly and is usually fatal.
