yes you can give guinea pigs a bath

But you don't really need to. If the environment around them is clean they will as well.But bathing your guinea pig can help them to keep their skin and hair heathly.But try not to do it on a regular basis maybe once every 3 to 4 months would be ideal and also don't bathe them too often because it can cause the skin to dry up and become irritated. If the weather is cold i advise you not to bathe your guinea pig in a cold area. Room temperature would be the best because your guinea pig could catch a chill.The way you can wash your guinea pig a preparation is stated below :

3 to 4 towels washing up bowl, flannel, small plastic jug, small animal shampoo, soft hairbrush, a hairdryer on low heat, a responsible helper, and a treat for the end,

and one thing make sure when bathing a guinea pig keep a bowl on the floor in case your guinea pig panics and doesn't have to jump of a high table or kitchen top.

It's extremely important that the water not be too deep. Piggies can't swim well (and some can't swim at all) so you need to make sure there's no danger of them getting water in their mouth or nose.

You need guinea pig shampoo and must avoid their ears, eyes and mouth. Put a flannel on the floor of a tub filled with warm water so they don't lose their grip. the water should be shallow enough for them to stand in and not too deep that their nose is covered. You can use a hair dryer on them as well but you must keep it at least 30 cm from that at a low heat-keep them in a blankey with a hot water bottle afterwards to warm them up!

though you have to bathe it every 3 to 4 months (memorise this) and if you bathe it too often then its skin will dry....

here is what you need to have to clean your guinea pig:

3 to 4 towels

and a responsible helper.

also if the weather is cold , make sure the room temperature is quite warm!!!

now I'll show you how to bathe it:

Fill the plastic bowl with warm water, roughly two inches deep, check the temperature with your elbow to make sure its not too hot or too cold. For my piggies, I place the bowl on the kitchen work top, near to the kitchen sink. Then I fill the kitchen sink with warm water for rinsing. I also place a flannel on the bottom of the bowl, so my guinea pig will feel more secure under foot as it will stop them from slipping. Remember to have everything within easy reach, never leave a guinea pig unattended in the bath water. When applying water, I use a small plastic container that has a spout on the end. It actually came with my steam iron, its just the right size.

If at all possible, ask a responsible person in the house to help you. They could keep their protective hands near your guinea pig while you are busy. For example: changing the bath water. Failing that, a good idea is to line a plastic container with a towel. I use my old baby toiletries container as its high enough to not allow my piggy to escape. Another option is a child's empty toy box. This is very useful if you need your hands free for whatever reason. Never leave a guinea pig unattended on any high surfaces.

Yes you can bathe guinea pigs. In fact, bathing your guinea pig(s) about once a month will keep them from stinking and will greatly improve how their coat looks and feels. Just make sure the water you use is not to hot, and to keep soap and water out of the guinea pigs eyes, mouth, and ears.

yes you can you really have to because if you dont it will get very dirty I have 18 of them and I have to wash them all. Get the cute and clean shampoo from the pet shop and that will dojust fine!!

You can bathe them, but only once or twice a year. Although guinea pigs are excellent swimmers, they do not actually enjoy being in water.
