Is the dog constantly scratching at his ears with his paw? And is his ear area foul smelling? My dog has these symptoms and we were told he has canker. We are presently treating him with ear drops called Surolan twice daily which can be bought at your local vets and he is also on antibiotics. After we finish with the Surolan, we have to clean the ear out twice daily using an ear cleanser called Oticlean. Serious infections can be helped by an operation (sorry, don't know the name of it) which cleans around the inner ear and removes any bacteria. But, in saying this, this operation costs around 1500euro and can have side effects including face paralysis. I would strongly recommend bringing your dog to the vet, if you already have not, to get him checked out. I also found this website while I was researching the topic for a project for school and I found it helpful so I hope it can help you! http:/www.natural-pet-care.com/natural-pet-health-blog/dogs-puppies/what-is-an-ear-canker-in-dogs
No, the palmer worm, canker worm, and locust are not three stages of development of the same insect. They are different types of insects belonging to distinct species within the order of Lepidoptera (moths and butterflies for palmer and canker worms) and Orthoptera (locusts).
Use a small amount of Hydrogen Peroxide on a Q-tip swab. Clean the canker, allow the peroxide to bubble. Do not pour this into ear, a small dab only applied with a swab. This will kill off bacteria and will not harm the rabbit.

Do nothing - the blister/sore will rupture on its own and the dog will heal over the sore area within a week or so in most cases. If this is a frequent occurrance, I would suggest a trip to the veterinarian to see what is causing the canker sores - this is not a common illness in dogs.
A canker fly (plural canker flies) refers to a fly that eats fruits
Canker sores are not infectious.
Can the bacteria in a dogs mouth possibly give a human being a canker sore? I have owned my dog for about four months and she is a very lovable dog and we cuddle once in a while and she'll occasionally lick my face and around my lips when we are close. I've noticed a much higher icidence of canker sores since I got her. Is she the potential culprit?
Canker sores are diagnosed by observation of the blister.
Ambien doesn't cause canker sores.
No. I have canker sores and have never kowingly given some one canker sores. Canker sores are not caused by the same thing that causes cold sores and as far as I know they are not contagious. But to be on the safe side avoid kissing this person until their canker sores go away.
Canker sores tend to appear in response to stress.
There is no cure for canker sores. They do not get larger or occur more frequently with age.

You can chew while having a canker sore on your lip. If you spit right where the canker sore is though it will burn so just be careful
No, when canker sores are going away the pain lessens.
