Dimetrodon belongs to a group of reptiles that later evolved into mammals. Some of these reptiles were said to be poisonous. However, no suggestions have been made about dimetrodon being able to "spit" poison like a sppiting cobra. It´s likely it didn´t inject poison because otherwise scientist would have found hollow fangs like in the case of venomous snakes. It´s quite possible that dimetrodon´s mouth was full of deadly bacteria, like in the case of komodo dragons and crocodiles, which would be just as deadly.

Can any poisonous frog spit poison?

No, poisonous frogs do not spit poison. Instead, they secrete toxic substances through their skin as a defense mechanism against predators. Some species, like the golden poison dart frog, have potent toxins that can be harmful or even fatal if ingested, but they do not have the ability to project or spit their toxins.

Did dilophosaurus really spit?

Dilophosaurus did not spit. Jurassic Park may have shown that but Jurassic Park's Dilophosaurus was completely false. When Dilophosaurus was discovered he was 20 feet long and he did not have a frill. There is no proof that he spit poison. Dilophosaurus was probably warm blooded and may have weighed 1,000 pounds.
