No, it has been proven by scientists and people that work in the aquarium in melbourne that sharks cannot be trained. They are not capable to think like other animals, for example, dogs or dolphins. Sharks are dangerous.

It is recommended that you DON'T pet a shark. Most sharks will get frightened and will start attacking. They have extremely sharp teeth (They were designed to rip through flesh). Anyways, their skin is rough like sandpaper, some even sharper. However, if they shark is only a baby, or if it is small, you could pet it. Large sharks, no way.
