Do all cats pray

Cats don't have a God, or if they do, they don't believe in him or her. The closest thing a cat has to a God is the current source of free food. Even if they thought a God was out there somewhere they'd treat that entity with the disdain they reserve for any entity which dares suggest they obey it. Our little grey wisp of fluff, who thinks she's a tiger, believes God arrives next door on Sunday mornings, fillets that morning's catch of whiting, and leaves the fish out as an offering. She arrives on top of our mutual fence, eats her latest catch, while the dog goes wild below. Then she executes another lightning raid for the next fish. This goes on until the neighbours come out to fire up their barbecue and wonder where all the fish went. You will notice the difference between cats praying for offerings or sacrifices, and cats assuming God is there to offer tasty morsels. ____________ Sorry, it's just been pointed out to me by someone wiser than I that the question might've been, do all cats prey? If that was the question, the answer is emphatically, yes. Cats are genetically programmed to stalk and kill prey. If you have creatures in your area, or in your home, that you'd prefer not to be killed by a cat you must keep them separate at all times. The same applies to any other predatory animals: dogs can be cute and fluffy, but they'll show no mercy towards any creature they consider their prey. ____________
