No, they do not have to breed to lay eggs.

If you don't get it, think of it this way: an egg is laid by a hen roughly every 25 hrs (it is a bit like a period, i suppose). The only difference breeding (mating) would make is whether the egg is fertilised (IE. If it would become a chick)

Chickens, no matter what the breed, DO NOT need to mate to produce eggs. Hens will continue their laying cycle with or without a rooster present.

No - it's completely natural for chickens to lay eggs every day. Some chickens are bred to lay eggs almost every day.

Not at all. Chickens do not need to mate to lay eggs, but they must mate in order for these eggs to be fertile, i.e. able to hatch into chicks.

yes. All animals need a mate to produce. It will have to mate with its partner then will have to wait about 3 weeks before the eggs come they will. When they do it will be about 8 weeks intill they hatch. The only things that dont need a mate to reproduce are some plants waterlife and bugs. Obly some though like starfish. Can a hen produce eggs without sex?

Absolutely yes. A hen does not need a rooster to produce eggs, she only produces fertile eggs when a rooster is involved. Many farm flocks do not have a rooster among the flock and egg production does not suffer in the slightest. A rooster job is to protect the flock and mate with the hens to produce offspring but the hens will continue to lay eggs with or without him.
