no but they eat nachos and oatmeal, whatever you think is wrongSorry, but cats do not eat nachos and oatmeal, don't know what you were thinking. But no cats normally wont eat a chinchilla. If you have a room that you have your chinchilla cage in that you can lock when you arent home that's fine. But when you are in there you can let the cats in. If they are cofertable you are fine, but if the chinchilla is scared of the cats it might attack!!! What are the differences between a cat and a chinchilla in terms of their behavior and care requirements?

Cats are more independent and require less attention than chinchillas. Chinchillas are social animals and need more interaction. Cats are easier to litter train, while chinchillas need a specific type of bedding. Chinchillas also need a dust bath for grooming, while cats groom themselves. Both animals need a balanced diet, but chinchillas require specific pellets and hay.
