After hunting and observing them for years, I would have to say no. In species where there is one dominant male to several females, killing the offspring of another male is common. Ducks do not have this sort of sexual hierarchy.

∙ 14y agoWe have been studying the Mallard Ducks in Dunedin N.Z. Yes, on occasion, a female mallard will chastise, and kill an unfamiliar duckling that attempts to join her own brood. This usually happens when the ducklings are less than three weeks old.
