Yes it will hurt them. to them it feels like what it would feel like if you had rocks in your shoes. and i know this cause i am a vet.
guinea pigs like to get rubbed in various places, it really depends on your guinea pig's personality but most guinea pigs love getting rubbed behind their ears and on the back. I think that's what you are asking. My guinea pigs love it when I rub them slowly behind their ears. They like to stretch and relax when I do it. They usually lay down when I do it and have this hazy face that has 'That Feels Good' written all over it. :P
Guinea pigs are known to be curious and may crawl into your hair out of curiosity or seeking warmth. If this happens, gently guide the guinea pig out of your hair to prevent any unintended harm to both you and the guinea pig. It's important to handle them carefully to avoid stressing them.
Technicolly your not supposed to be cutting a guinea pigs' hair without a grooming specialist there with you becaus if you accidentally cut it, your guinea pig could have eternal bleeding and may lead to death. I know, tragiec very but im telling the truth!
Your guinea pig likely closed his eyes and lay down because he was enjoying the sensation of being petted. This behavior indicates that he feels relaxed and comfortable in your presence. It's a sign that he trusts you and is content.
both.actually, I'm pretty sure that they only have hair. the difference is that when there is fur on an animal, it sheds.---------------------------Scientific American published an interview in 2001, with an expert mammologist from the New York American Museum of Natural History, where the question of the difference between hair and fur was asked. The short answer is, "no difference"). It's very interesting, and can be found here:http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=what-is-the-difference-beWhether it is referred to as "hair", or "fur"; how long it grows; and whether it ever stops growing, is based :- first on the species of mammal involved(for example, neck hair on horses, versus neck hair on cats)- then - if there are breeds of that mammal - on the breed(for example, the length of neck hair/fur on Siamese cats versus length of neck hair/fur on Persian cats, or length of neck hair/fur on Friesian or Andalusian horses , or Appaloosa horses )- and finally on the genetics of the individuals themselves. When, or if, the hair/fur in a certain area ever stops growing, depends on the type of hair/fur it is.Whether fur/hair is shed, depends on all of the above, as well.See also:What is the difference between hair and furAs to guinea pigs breeds specifically, guinea pigs have a very large variety of coat textures and lengths, including, but not limited to:- Abssynian - hair about an inch, and growing in swirls or cowlicks (the placement of these is critical in show guinea pigs)- Smooth Coat - short straight hair lying close to the body- Peruvian - very long straight hair, can fan out around the guinean pig for over a foot- Rex or Teddy - very short, kinky hair, looks like a brillo pad- Texel - long thick soft wavy hair in curls and ringlets 1-3" long- Satin - a variation on the other types - incredibly SHINY like it's been lacquered! There are many more official coat and breed varieties in guinea pigs!---------------------
When petting a guinea pig you should sit it on your lap facing you so it cant run off. Guinea pigs HATE being stroked on their bottoms. But they LOVE being stroked on their heads..... Some guinea pigs LOVE being stroked under their chin or the underneath of them.... your question didnt really make sense

When your guinea pig chews its hair, there is something in its fur like mites or fleas. You should ask your veternarian

No, but some breeds may have long hair like wools
Either his back is sore for some reason, or he simply does not like his back touched. It usually means he/she doesn't like their back being rubbed.
they are both rodents, vegetarians, and have a soft brush-like hair
Yes, when a plastic ruler is rubbed with oily hair, it can become statically charged. This static charge may attract lightweight objects like pieces of paper due to the electrostatic force between the ruler and the paper.
It all depends on if you like brushing your guinea pig a lot. You see, long hair guinea pigs are harder to groom and their hair gets full of dust and bedding and gets kind of nasty. But, short hair guinea pigs have more trouble keeping themselves warm. So it depends on if you are a brusher or a cuddler. If you are both, then I suggest getting a long hair and a short hair to share a cage together.
No they have like swirls of their fur but the fur may be a little puffy
