lions and wolves do not live near each other, but if a lion came across them, it would only get a pup because wolves can run longer.

Lions and wolves never would encounter eachother, because they live in different places and different climates. But if a lion were hungry enough and really wanted to, it could probably kill a wolf and eat it... but its very very VERY unlikely.

Generally speaking, lions and wolves do not have overlapping territories. However, lions are known to kill and even eat African wild dogs, though they are rarely successful in catching adults. So, in theory, if confronted with wolves, a lion may attempt to hunt them and fail at catching the adults, given that wolves are capable of running for much longer.
