All Guinea pigs make meeping/purring sounds. I have two girls and two boy guineas (in separate hutches) and you can hear the boys talking to the girls and vica versa
When it sounds like purring it is usually a dominance thing, but you may want to check the gender of your pig.it could be this but it could also mean that they are just interacting with each other
It depends. Guinea pigs make all different kinds of noises depending if they are happy or scared. Wheeking: means feed me. they either know food is coming or they're hungry. Rumbling: when a male is trying to romance a female. Shrieking: sounds like a wheek, only more high pitched. it means they are afraid or in pain. Purring: means pleasure. Teeth Chattering: upset or angry. Mutter/Chut: meaning relaxed, happy, and content Whining: Just like it sounds, complaining Chirping: no one really knows why they do this or what it means.
they mate by the male running after the female and he corners her then he will get on top of her and release his penise into the females butt.so the male is pretty much humping the female.=]LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLits actually the male doing a dance for the female by waving his hips around and making a weird purr, and then he jumps on her, and does the crazzyy. ;) believe me, i had two guinea pigs, that's what happened, and they had babies.if its a male they mate with a female if its female they mate with a male the female becomes pregnant and give live birth in a couple weeks. all mammals are like this
Yes, it is possible for male guinea pigs to eat their newborns. This behavior is more common in stressed or inexperienced male guinea pigs. It is important to separate the male from the female and newborns to prevent this from happening.
When you are petting your guinea pig, and it makes a noise, that's called purring (like cats but a lower volume) and then their body vibrates, that means it's content with however you are petting them.I have a guinea pig named Chelsea (just got her today) and she does this every time I hold her. It's adorable! It is like purring which is actually a strong vibration of their heart because it beats faster than ours does.
Apparently, only male cicadas make sounds.
