Elephants get tusks at around 6-12 months.

Tusks between the male and female

In spite of the fact that African elephant females do have tusks, these are somewhat littler in thickness and length contrasted with those of a male. Then again, the distinction is next to no and can barely be taken note. Notwithstanding that, the female tusks impart all elements to male tusks. Then again, the Asian females' tusks are perceptibly little.

Size of the tusks

African elephant's tusks grow 15-18 cm a year bringing about a length of 2-3 meters and a weight of up to 90 kg for old guys. While the female African elephants are littler, both all in all and with respect to tusk size, they can approach this, while the Asian's tusks are just around a tenth of this size.

It depends. Female African Elephants have small tusks while Male African Elephants have large tusks. In Asian Elephants, only the males have tusks. Females have very small or no tusks at all. Even among male elephants, the African Male's tusks are much larger than the Asian Males tusks
