They will be very happy to eat a peanut! Unfortunately it is a bad idea to feed peanuts to pet mice (or even wild mice) as they are very fatty, and mice will get super fat very quickly on a diet of peanuts. This will probably lead to early death. Mice have similar nutritional requirements to humans, and like humans they suffer ill health with too much salt, sugar or fat. The only exceptions are dairy and citrus fruit, which they should not eat (so no cheese!). If you consider that a mouse stomach is about the size of your little fingernail, a peanut would fill that very easily. Can you imagine the size of the peanut we would have to eat to match that? I doubt it would be good for you!
Squirrels, birds (such as blue jays and crows), raccoons, and some rodents like mice and rats are known to eat peanuts. Additionally, some larger animals like deer and bears have been observed eating peanuts, especially when looking for food in human-populated areas.
If you mean the chocolate-covered raisin treat, humans.
i am pretty sure that they do eat mice because they are field mice and field mice eat grain and if the grass grows maybe corn crops then the field mice would eat it !!
no they are not
I know one breed that will actively hunt down and eat mice is the Muscovy duck. My sister raises them and they have not had so few mice in years. I got a young one for my small coup where the mice were even trying to eat eggs. Since the Muscovy duck has been in my coop, the mice have vanished. I haven't actually seen him eat one but they have not been around lately.
Yes you can. Mice can almost eat anything we eat and more. Apples, carrots, cookies (Oreos), peanuts walnuts etc.
