Rats typically leave droppings that resemble black rice. These droppings are small, elongated, and dark in color. If you notice this type of feces in or around your home, it may indicate a rat infestation that requires attention.
Rats birds chinchillas kangaroo rats and other rodents and small animals besides the ferret because ferrets can kill a full grown human with one bit but they don't have Poisson in their body so cats are scared of ferrets
they eat rats, mice, and anything in the mouse selected:)
I have both. I breed rats for pet & show, mice I don't breed at all.
Mice at maturity are 4-5 inches much smaller then a mature rat 8-10 inches. Mice also have large ears compared to their head were rats ears are smaller. Both Rats and Mice are rodents that can invade our homes and carry diseases.
The difference between mice and rat droppings is the size. Rat droppings will be the size of a raisin while mice will be about the size of a single grain of rice.Sources:I own 2 rats and 2 mice. :)

Neither. Like mice and rats, they are rodents, but they are only distantly related to mice and rats.
No. Both animals belong to the rodent order. Rats belong to the rat and mouse family, Muridae. Hamsters belong to the hamster family Cricetidae. There are several genera of rodents called 'New World Rats and Mice'. They are not true rats or mice, in the same way that a starfish is not a fish. They do belong to the hamster family, and resemble voles more than rats.
Mostly small animal such as rodents ( mice, rats, etc.). If they have to they will also kill and eat rabbit and squirrel.
