Yes they are definitely able to think. Perhaps not in as complicated or abstract a manner as humans but yes they think feel pain have a sense of humour, love and dislike and they can put two and two together about a lot of things that humans cant even begin to see.

Birds are very relaxing animals to have around. There are many types and colors of birds. Birds make beautiful songs when they chirp.

I think that they are great compaignions. They are a little bit of work, but they love you unconditionatlly and will always forgive you.
