Dogs have all five senses, and their hearing and often their sight are better than that of humans, depending on the breed of the dog. They do not substitute hearing for any other sense, they just have very good hearing usually.

Can a person substitute one sense for another?

Not exactly. When some people have lost the use of one of their senses they have reported an increased sensitivity in one or more of their others. But, if you lose your sight, then no other sense can restore vision. The closest some people have come to replacement is when they have gone deaf, as their sense of touch can sometimes pick up the vibrations of loud noises and they become aware that a nose was made. But not to the extent of being able to instantly identify the source of the noise as a person with hearing could.t

Which is the weakest sense of the bird?

Although this answer is entirely opinionated, I would say it would be your vision, people learn sign language easily so they wouldn't need their hearing. Loss of taste and smell would just make eating to a person less enjoyable. Feeling, though, is still important as if you lose your vision a person can still feel their way around. Again, this answer is entirely opinionated. In other words, this is subjective.

Do leopards have a good sense of smell?

Snow leopards have all the same senses as humans, which are sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. As for their eyesight, it is their primary sense, and although they have poor color vision, leopards and all other cats have excellent night vision compared to most animals (including humans). Cats' hearing is also far more powerful than human hearing, as is their sense of smell (but some animals, such as dogs and bears, have a far better sense of smell than cats do). The only thing exceptional about cats' sense of touch are their amazingly sensitive whiskers. I don't know anything about a cat's sense of taste.
