The average star fish (sea star) will have 5 arms in the shape of a star. However, more complex sea stars can have up to 20 arms! All vary in shape, size and color; they can be deep red or light yellow or even the rare black one, any color. Some will have spikes (called crowns) or thorns or lumps on their body.
