No endemic does not mean endangered. Endemic means an animal that is only found in one country or sometimes one small area of the world.
Many endemic species are also endangered. This is because a habitat or area can only support a certain number of species so the population of an endemic animal is usually small. Also an endemic species relies solely on that habitat or area and if that habitat or area is destroyed or damaged that animal is in serious trouble.
Lastly many endemic bird species that inhabit small islands are endangered due to rat introduction. The rats on the small islands need food and the birds are not usually adapted to avoid predation so they make easy targets for rats. Also the rats easily breed and more rats means more predation.
They are not endangered. I mean, come on! They are awesome enough to take care of themselves. Duh!
The human species will never in a life time be extincted. Yes, We are. We have already presided over the vanishing of thousands of Earth's Species; We are also Life and, as such, susceptible to Our Own Machinations.
"Endangered" refers to a species that is at risk of becoming extinct due to low population numbers. This threat can be caused by various factors, including habitat destruction, climate change, and poaching. Conservation efforts are often put in place to protect and recover endangered species.
They are endangered of extinction, as are all endangered species.
