Is ridex a good additive to a septic system?

Ridex is designed to introduce beneficial bacteria and enzymes that can help break down waste in septic systems. While it may provide some short-term benefits, most experts agree that regular maintenance, such as pumping and proper water usage, is more critical for septic health. It's essential to follow manufacturer guidelines and consult with a septic professional for the best practices tailored to your system. Overall, Ridex can be a supplementary aid but shouldn't replace regular maintenance.

Does ridex clean your hair from pot?

Ridex, primarily designed as a drain cleaner, is not intended for use on hair or as a cleaning product for substances like marijuana. Using chemical cleaners on hair can be damaging and is not recommended. If you're trying to remove the smell of marijuana from your hair, it's better to use appropriate hair care products like shampoos or natural remedies.

Does ridex work on rats in the crawl space?

Tests have proven results only short term-if any. I would be reluctant to rapidly displace them anyway with no control over where they go. There are poisons that would do the trick, but traps make things easier without risk of a carcass in an inconvenient place.

How do bugs get into an unopened box of ridex?

Bugs can get into an unopened box of Ridex through small openings or gaps in the packaging that may have occurred during manufacturing or transportation. They can also enter if the box was stored in a location where insects were present. Additionally, pests may hitch a ride on the box from contaminated surfaces or environments before it reaches the consumer. Proper storage and inspection of products can help minimize the risk of infestation.

Is liquid ridex better than the granules?

Liquid Ridex may be more effective for certain tasks as it can penetrate clogs more easily and works faster than granules. However, granules can be better for preventative maintenance and may have a longer-lasting effect in pipes. The choice between the two often depends on the specific plumbing issue you're addressing. Always consider following the manufacturer's instructions for optimal results.

Does riddex work as well as they advertise?

"No. Most people say it actually ATTRACTS bugs" That is a simple answer, but the useful answer is more complex. Basically though, the device does work, but only in a limited area. For instance, in a part of your home where there is no wiring, the bugs might find a nice place to hide, thought of course the manufacturer claims, without much evidence, that it covers one whole level of a house. It apparently sends out a signal/sound that bugs cannot tolerate. You can imagine how that doesn't really cover all the bases. If it were me, I would put them in the kitchen and dining areas where food is, so they won't hang-around anything to eat, and forget trying to cover every other square inch. I wonder though, as the device wears out over time, does the frequency of the sound/signal change, and actually do what that one post above suggests, attract bugs?
