Does the chicken or the egg come first?

technically, the chicken should have come first because if you look at it from The Bible's point of view- God created all the animals first, not eggs flying from the sky.

Well I suppose God made chickens not eggs, so I suppose the chicken. But if you are referring to a race................... then we would have to now the topography of the area. For example, the chicken would come in first if the race was uphill or flat because unlike the egg it can run. On the other hand an egg might roll down a hill faster than a chicken could run.

this would depend on your point of view.

if you are christian, you would probably believe that the chicken came first because God created all the animals (not their eggs).

if you were a scientist you would believe that for an animal to change, its genetics would have to change also and this is impossible. Therefore the change would have to take place as an embryo or egg. So the first chicken was most likely spawned in prehistoric times as an embryo/egg. Concluding that the first living organism had to come from the form of an egg or embryo.
