Recently they are very unlikely to be seen, but in pioneer times there were plenty in forests. Black panthers are actually a kind of cougar ( mt. Lion, puma etc.) They just have darker fur.
People say that Black panthers do not exist in Maine. But infact about 25 years ago my grandfather was hunting, and infact did see a black panther. He was terrified and did not move. My grandfather is very wise, and truthful. When he tells me the story I can feel how scared he was. Though people say that black panthers are not in Maine, I say that it is possible.
I have never seen a panther in North Carolina but, I have heard one. That was one of the scariest sounds I have ever heard and I will never forget it. Everyone I've spoken to about it says yes there are panthers in these mountains.
Possible that it is a Catahoula. I saw a very gray dog with small black spots, and have been looking for this answer myself. So far some Catahoula's are the closest I've seen.
i think its a black and green snake.......

This would be a draw as they are one in the same.
Black panthers are real! However they are only a subspecies within the same species as leopards (they can successfully interbreed). The only difference is fur color: leopards have black spots on a tan background, black panthers have black spots on a black background (so you are unable to identify the spots).
mainly deers, coyotes, foxes and occasionally bobcats whenever you see them...people in and around the castleberry area have said and seen reports of black panthers and little black bears have been reported all over conecuh county
Actually it is a myth but i have seen them with my own eyes too and the state declares that there are a breeding population as there are more than 8,000 or more mountain lions in this state along with wolves coyotes and bears couagars are all among them also black mountain lions (black panthers) have also been seen here cranberry glades have reported seeing them
He has only been seen in black and white.
Panthers are a apex predator and they hunt other animals for food. As with other members of the large cat family they are not social and unless looking for a mate stay and hunt in a designated area. They do climb trees and often can be seen taking a cat nap in one.
A black hole, exoplanets. It has always been inferred.
There are Black Panthers in Mississippi. My uncle had a baby panther/leopard, he was an owner of a rural city zoo. We put the baby panther/leopard in a cage, close to the woods. We woke up and seen 2 panthers surrounding the cage. We live in Georgetown Ms.
Black panthers are not the biggest cats, but they have strong muscular bodies, powerful jaws, and long and sharp teeth. They also have a very good sense of smell and exceptional hearing. Black panthers are not a species unto themselves, but melanistic specimens of the jaguar and leopard.
No one has "seen a black hole" but evidence of where a black hole must be has been observed.
