(assuming were talking about domesticated cats)
cats rely on their nimbleness on a daily baisis. In the wild only the most agile of cats will thrive while the cats that fall short of the best, for variouse reasons, may or may not thrive depending on their environment.
unlike dogs cats do not have a high ammount of stamina, meaning they are not able to repetitivly attack their pray until their prey is exuasted, in order to conphensate they must be able to move with great agility, they must be able to predict the actions of their prey or offender
and lastly they must be capable to creep up to their prey, undetected, until their close enough to swiftly and efficiently pounce, enable and kill their prey. if the cat is not a sufficient hunter their prey will have a larger chance of escaping.
often this fine tuned ability of well demonstrated agility is not evedent in domestic house cats, due to the ussual availibility of food in wich their owners provide, but rather this ability is demonstated in feral or wild cats, belonging to the same genus.
cats are muscular, powerful, well tuned, agile machines simply adapted to survive.
Cats, like some other animals, have highly-developed vestibular and brain functions that enable them to determine their spatial orientation and motion. The cat uses its four legs and its tail to re-orient itself in reaction to changes in acceleration (balancing and falls). This is known as a "righting reflex".

You have to complete so many of the agility accomplishments and then you become agile :-) hope this helped
Most are but some arent'. The reason they are so agile is because the back feet follow the front feet exactly in the same place. If they get around things with their front feet the back feet just follow. This is why you will never see 4 footprints from a cat walking in the snow. You'll only see 2 foot prints.
"The cat was so agile that she could jump from the roof of the house to the next roof, and still land on her feet."

The most vicious cat out there is the Indian Tiger. They have it in their nature and are always out on the hunt! They are large cats so they need to feed themselves a lot. Many people think lions are the most vicious cats around, when that's not true at all. For I assure you the most vicious cat is definitely the tiger!
