Bala shark's take a long time to grow they grow 8" every year until fully grown. but in order for them to grow big they need room to grow the smaller your tank and the more fish you have in their stops it from growning. when getting fish use the rule 1' per a gallon so you got to think this fish will grow and know how big it will get so you are per pared for it.
because sharks are big then rays and perch and goldfish..

They live in around 75-85 degree temperatures
There is no sexual dimorphism in Bala sharks (Balantiocheilos melanopterus) so the only way to sex one without cutting it open is to watch them breeding. The female is always the one that lays the eggs. These fish get very big and a minimum sized tank for them is around 6ft.
sharks are exotic animals so you cant buy one and keep it as your pet, however you can go to any local petstore and they will usually have bala sharks
great white sharks are big because of their huge ancestors and the traits they inherit from their parents.
