Best Answer

No animal living on land is nearly as large as the elephant. They are thrice as tall at the shoulder as an average human being. They measure ten feet or more in body length not counting a trunk which might be another foot long. A large bull elephant's tusks can grow to 2 feet in length.

The elephant is a huge animal by any standard. The blue whale is larger by far being sometimes as long as thirteen feet and weighing many tons, but on land, the elephant is the reigning giant.

f you want the smallest land animal, it

iis the water bear which is a tiny tiny almost invincible bug. look it up if you do not believe me..........................

Male African elephants stand at around 10 to 13 feet tall at their shoulder. Female African elephants stand at around 7.2 to 8.5 feet tall at their shoulder. Their Asian counterparts are around 1 - 2 feet shorter than them and weigh a few thousand pounds lesser than them. The Average Asian elephant weighs anywhere between 2.7 tonnes to 4.5 tonnes. Full grown adult tuskers are known to weigh in the range of 4.5 tonnes. The Average African elephant weighs 2.7 to 6 tonnes. Though the African females are known to weigh approximately the same as their Asian counterparts, African Bulls are known to be much heavier than their Asian brothers.

Newborns elephants are about four feet long. Fully grown male African elephants are about 30 feet from tail to trunk tip

Most African Bush Elephant males are between ten and eleven feet tall and weigh around eleven thousand pounds. The largest ever bush elephant was 13 feet tall. The heviest was cut up and weighed in at 14,169 lbs. African forest elephants are much smaller and since very little is known about them I do not know their maximum size, however, my souces say that they mostly get only aroun 7,000 lbs. and only 8 feet tall. Asian elephants are usually around 9 1/2 feet tall and weigh 9000 pounds, but there are many exeding 10 1/2 feet tall and ten thousand pounds. One circus elephant named Black Diamond was 11 feet tall and weighed 14,086 pounds. An African elephant might be about seven feet wide at the widest.
The male African elephant can reach a height of 13 feet. They can weigh approximately 15,000 lbs. The average female elephant can reach 11 feet tall.
well you see the fulll grown size of a very large elephant is 2.5 cm. isn't that BIG.
The largest elephant species are African elephants. A fully grown male African elephant can weight up to 15,000 pounds.
