When the time is right, your dogs will figure out a way for them to mate. I have been breeding dogs for 4 years now and have had the same questions when i first started out. Make sure you know what you are getting yourself into when you decide to breed your dogs as it can get very expensive. Christmas this year my doberman gave birth to 12 beautiful puppies, then 10 days later got hit by a car outside our home while using the bathroom. This left us with 12 10 day old puppies with no mother who were starving. We bottle fed the babies which is very costly and made weekly visits to the vet. So please be careful and make sure you are ready for ANYTHING to happen. If you decide that you are ready and this is what you want to do then I wish you all the luck!!! And dont worry when the time is right they will figure out a way to breed with each other and produce you with some beautiful little bundles of joy!!!
Bassett Hounds have trouble mating and it is often best to have them inseminated. Repsonsible breeding is a must, however so is proper care of your animal. Allowing a dog to run free to use the rest room in it self is a danger. Had the owner of the doberman build a fenced in safety area the dog would never have gotten hit by a car. Protect your pet with their own safe space, be a responsible breeder, and ask a vet for assistance.
Hound dogs can be prone to certain health issues including hip dysplasia, bloat, ear infections, and obesity. It's important to monitor their weight, maintain regular vet check-ups, and provide proper exercise to help prevent these conditions.
Raccoons have their informal territory of which they are quite knowledgeable and rarely leave their home ground.
Oh, dude, hounds can totally book it! Like, they're known for their speed, especially those sleek, athletic ones. They can totally outrun you if you try to race them, so don't even bother challenging them to a sprint. Just appreciate their speed from a safe distance, you know?
Hound dogs "bay"--aaarrrrrrOOOOO! That's the best I can do. Most hounds are the product of many generations of cross-breeding and in-breeding to produce certain hounds with certain qualities. Some hound breeders do not consider the dog a true hound if it doesn't bay. There are scent hounds (Bloodhound, Catahoula, Walker, Blue-tick, Plott) and sight hounds (Saluki, Borzoi, Greyhound) and some bay, some don't.
the hounds followed the sc of the rabbit.
Bassett Hounds can usually be found for sale in pet shops or directly from the breeder. Sometimes Bassett Hounds can also be found for sale from private homes through the newspaper classified ads.

Short answer - no. Bassetts shed a lot and drool a lot, and both the hair and (sometimes) the saliva can fire up your asthma.
Yes. It can happen in any breed of dog (just as it can happen as a spontaneous mutation in people) but is most commonly seen in Dachshunds and Bassett Hounds.
Basset hounds made ideal pets for families with children. They are gentle, tolerant and welcoming animals. Basset hounds get along well with other pets and are seldom aggressive to strangers. Basset hounds need daily walks, but children need to be careful when walking them because they are hunting dogs and if they get a whiff of a certain scent they may pull at the leash and a young child may have difficulty controlling them. Since basset hounds are low to the ground, young children may try to ride on their backs - this should be avoided at all costs. Basset hounds would make a good pet for a family with children, but be prepared for lots of drool, shedding and stubbornness!

Basset hounds were originally bred in France to flush deer and other game to guns. They have since been used to hunt the brown hare in Britain. However, this practice was banned by the 2004 hunting act. About 8 packs are still in existence in the UK, some have moved to hunting rabbits which is permitted under the hunting act.
