its just how they were bred to Cary their tail. however there is an old tale about an Arabs tail. it goes, the Arab was once considered a womans horse and in those times woman wore hats all the time. when a woman went for a ride the Arab would hold his tail up to catch the hat if it were to fall off her head in a gallup. its a funny story but really just the way the breeds tail is positioned on the body. many breeds orgininating from the Arab have simmilar carrages of the tail but none so high.
